A drone show lit up the sky in downtown Detroit ahead of the NFC championship game this weekend.

The Detroit Lions faced off against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday night, but not before Detroit celebrated with a drone show above Ford Field Saturday. The celebration was originally scheduled for Friday, but the weather pushed it to Saturday night.

The drone show in downtown Detroit was held to celebrate the Lions’ first appearance in an NFC championship game since 1992.

Despite the captivating display, the Lions faced disappointment, losing 31-34 to the 49ers on Sunday night and missing their chance at a maiden Super Bowl trip.

The 13-minute show was watched by spectators lining the streets of downtown Detroit and was produced by Starlight Aerial Productions.
