Digitalization of retail processes is coming to the forefront at this year’s NRF show, as companies demonstrate innovations to meet ongoing consumer demand for optimized, personalized shopping experiences.

Smart retail company Pricer is one such company, with its “shelf-edge” automation and communication solutions targeted at streamlining order fulfillment.

One tool on display is Pricer’s “Store-in-a-store,” a self-contained unit that acts as a designated picking area, using real-time next delivery data to fulfill customer orders, which can be added to any retail environment.

The company is also displaying its AI-enabled shelf monitoring camera, dubbed Pricer ShelfVision, designed to monitor stock and identify store workers when a product is running low or has been misplaced.

"Many leading retail brands are now integrating electronic shelf labels to transform their operations and customer experience, from electronics to food, from hardware to pharmacy and convenience," said Charles Jackson, Pricer head of the Americas. "Our customers cannot afford to break the trust and loyalty they have built with their customers and need scalable and reliable tools to build their business for the future."
