Eaton and Tenable are collaborating to help customers secure critical power systems and industrial control environments.
Leveraging Eaton’s electrical systems and industrial environments knowledge with Tenable’s IT/OT cybersecurity management solutions, the collaboration is aimed at helping customers determine potential vulnerabilities to mitigate cybersecurity threats.
Recent cyberattacks highlight the increasing importance of integrating cybersecurity into organizational maintenance strategies, according to Reid Vance, Eaton’s director of power system automation and cybersecurity services.
“By partnering with Tenable, we’re able to pair Eaton’s 100-year plus experience in power systems with Tenable’s deep expertise in securing converged IT/OT environments to give customers a single pane of glass to view their critical power environments and industrial control systems,” Vance said.
Today’s electrical systems and industrial control equipment are becoming more connected making it critical that a robust cybersecurity program includes coordination between operational technology and information technology departments.
The partnership addresses that challenge by not only helping customers determine potential vulnerabilities but also helping them prioritize remediation and allowing for continuous monitoring through existing IT and OT networks.
