There are several essential ingredients in starting an IoT project. A breakout session at Dell World will focus on those elements, including driving collaboration between IT and OT teams, finding an appropriate use case, and the right IoT technology and architecture for the job.
Each day, there seems to be more applications popping up for IoT. In May, NetworkWorld reported that Ben & Jerry’s uses IoT technology to track the performance of its freezers. The Internet of Things (IoT) partner showcase at Dell EMC World 2016 will focus on the role of IoT in making and delivering ice cream. Other IoT applications will be featured as well including energy creation, smart agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, and smart cities.
Dell’s HR and IT executives will share their vision on how to satisfy employees’ needs while balancing IT complexity in an interactive panel.
Predicting failures before they happen, ensuring quality and seamless operations are all in a day’s work for the Industrial Internet. A session at Dell World will tackle this theme and provide real-world examples of IoT deployments in an industrial setting. The session will also share a practical framework for evaluating IIoT projects.
All the talk about digital transformation can sometimes create more panic than clear thinking. This session will provide insight on how to tell if your core business is sound or whether it is at risk of being Uberized. The panel session will also shed light on how to intelligently spark change using big data and analytics, IoT, and cloud-native application development.
A session with Dell and SAP will provide strategies on how to put IoT data to work for you whether on-premise or in the cloud.
An hour-long session led by the leader of Dell’s Silicon Valley Lab will cover how to configure sensors, collect data from the sensors, and run basic data analytics. Technologies such as Dell Edge Gateways, Dell Boomi and Dell Statistica will be available.
Does your project need to have analytics at the network edge, the core (data center or cloud), or both? This session will help you answer that question with clarity.
