Operational technology (OT) systems are the heart of industrial operations, supporting and monitoring a vast range of events, processes and devices essential to keeping businesses up and running. While the Internet of Things promises to revolutionize and enhance OT’s role, industrial IoT deployments remain highly complex — in fact, many programs never even advance beyond the proof of concept stage.
It’s time to rethink IIoT deployments and more efficiently bridge the gap between what your organization needs and what your OT network delivers in terms of scalability, operational effectiveness and security. Join Alexandra Rehak, Practice Lead-Internet of Things at Ovum and Patty Medberry, Sr. Manager of IoT Product Marketing, Cisco IoT as they explore:
- The common challenges facing IIoT deployments — and how to address them
- The obstacles and opportunities inherent in utilizing legacy OT systems
- The answers to scalability and security questions
- The real-world stories behind successful IIoT deployments
