Relay Robotics, a new venture formed by Relay’s acquisition of robotics developer Savioke, has raised $10 million in a series A financing round, which will be used to accelerate development and deployment of its delivery robots. 

The latest financing was led by MK Capital. 

The group’s product pipeline of delivery robots are currently used in hospitality, healthcare and real estate; deployed at major U.S. hotel chains, including the Marriott, Hilton and Holiday Inn, as well as hospitals and commercial real estate properties. 

The group has also appointed a new chairman and CEO, Michael O’Donnell. Savioke co-founder Steve Cousins will also become the new CTO for Relay, and will be leading the new product strategy.

Relay’s robotic offerings are fully autonomous and self-driving, allowing for a contactless delivery service. To date, the group’s robots have completed more than one million deliveries worldwide.
