The eSIM Cookbook – Towards the Next Generation of Connected Devices

  • 22nd February 2021

The eSIM is the future of mobile connectivity. This cookbook gives you a brief primer on the eSIM and its many benefits. We’ll explain how you can get set up with eSIM using a standardised, secure and remote ‘over-the-air’ process called remote SIM provisioning. Getting consumers going with eSIM is as simple as scanning a QR code and as secure as it was with any standard plastic SIM card.

You’ll need a few things to get you started with eSIM, the basic “ingredients”. From SM-DP to SM-SR to SM-DS, we’ll strip away the acronyms and make all the complexities a little bit more palatable, so that you can handle almost any eSIM-enabled device.

We intricately detail how several combinations of the ingredients may be used to create a cohesive eSIM platform. From enterprise solutions to consumer IoT networks, these recipes are sure to whet your appetite for the eSIM and the colossal potential it has to change the way we all communicate every day.

What you’ll learn:

  • What is an eSIM?
  • How does Remote SIM Provisioning work
  • The ingredients – What you’ll need to get started
  • The recipes – Putting them to use
