IIoT/Manufacturing

Who Will Lead Manufacturing in the Future?

  • Written by Brian Buntz
  • 22nd October 2019

Much has been made of the need for manufacturers to embrace digital technologies to retain their competitive edge. But the momentum around concepts such as the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and smart factories is at risk of losing momentum as the global economy cools. In the manufacturing landscape of the future, a nation’s capacity to provide an ecosystem to provide advanced manufacturing will likely prove more decisive than access to cheap labor. Countries must readjust in order to prepare their economies for the future of manufacturing.

This report focuses primarily on the capacity of the superpowers of the U.S. and China to accomplish this objective, while also considering the prospects of a handful of other leading nations.

Content Includes:

  • Which Countries are Poised to Lead Manufacturing in the Future?
  • Making the Right Connectivity Choice for Your Industrial IoT Project.
  • Four Innovate IIoT Case Studies.
